Bringing LCWSC’s Lake Greenwood Water Treatment Facility to Life

Thought Leadership

The mission of the Laurens County Water & Sewer Commission (LCWSC) is to ensure their customers are provided with a sustainable supply of safe, quality drinking water and to provide environmentally sound wastewater collection and treatment services. To reinforce their dedication to our industry, customers, and community, they sought to develop a new facility that would allow them to accurately predict and manage costs, ensuring transparent pricing for valued customers.

To bring this project to life, GMC, Harper, and LCWSC worked together to develop the first-ever USDA-funded CM At-Risk infrastructure endeavor. Our team worked tirelessly, creatively, and collaboratively to bring the Lake Greenwood Water Treatment Facility to life.

“When you step back and you understand what it took to get here and the impact that this facility is going to have on our county and our community for generations to come, it’s a pretty special overwhelming feeling,” shares Jeff Field, Executive Director at LCWSC.

Watch us tell the story of how this project came to life here.
