Project Description

Our team recently installed a new bypass line at Union County’s Olive Branch Pump Station. The installation included a new flow meter, pressure-reducing valve, and butterfly valves. This work provided the existing finished water pump station the capability to send water from the high pressure zone to the lower pressure zone.

INNOVATIVE METHODS
The equipment for this project had lead times in excess of 38 weeks. The Harper team kept in close communication with our vendors to ensure the fabrication of the equipment was on schedule. While the procurement time for this project occupied most of the year, the shutdown time was limited as the pump station was active. The pump station could only be out of service for 30 days. The Harper team ensured all long lead time equipment and materials were received and on site prior to shutting down the pump station and starting work. The pump station was shut down and started up within 22 days.
