David Wise
President
David has accumulated nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry and serves as an advocate and hands-on leader for the Harper team. Since joining Harper in 1991, David has successfully managed a diverse portfolio of projects in the commercial, education, institutional, and industrial markets. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated the skills, knowledge, and foresight to successfully complete a number of award winning projects from its initial conceptual design, to the completion of construction and occupancy of the facility.

Doug Harper
Chairman
Doug Harper was raised in a family that had been in the construction industry for generations. He began his career with The Harper Corporation in 1974, immediately upon graduating from Clemson University with a Building Science degree. Starting as a Project Manager, Doug rose through the ranks and became President in 1985, a position he held for close to 30 years. He was the third generation of Harpers to lead the company that was built on the legacy established by his grandfather and father before him. Doug led Harper through many years of growth and established the company as one of the leading contractors in South Carolina. He has also served in leadership roles in many industry, charitable, and community organizations including the Upstate SC Alliance, Clemson University, and Carolinas AGC. Now Chairman of Harper, Doug remains active in the company providing strategic direction and focusing on developing and maintaining relationships with new and long-term clients.

Bryan Royal
Vice President of Environmental Systems Division
Bryan’s passion for helping municipalities attract new industries and businesses by improving infrastructure led him to create the Harper Environmental Systems Division in 2010. His extensive knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes allows Bryan to lead an exceptionally efficient and knowledgeable team. Bryan provides clients with seamless project coordination by partnering with and facilitating design teams and outside consultants.

Matt Johnson
Vice President of Operations
Serving as Harper’s Vice President of Operations, Matt provides oversight and direction to the Harper project management team. Matt is a gifted communicator and detail-oriented executive with a passion for leadership and building. He is active in both the coordination and execution of our project management team, ensuring our Harper project team delivers a great outcome for our clients, every time.

Andy Hall
Director of Preconstruction
Andy has more than 20 years of experience with preconstruction and project management. As Preconstruction Manager for Harper, Andy works closely with each project team during the design and preconstruction phase to assist in completing a design that meets the owner requirements for cost, quality, and function. Andy is most adept at developing cost-effective strategies during the pre-construction process, resulting in a very competitive Guaranteed Maximum Price that promotes the highest value for clients. His experience in project management further enhances his abilities to understand the intended goal of each project scope.

Kyle Snipes
Director of Business Development
With 15 years of business development experience, Kyle is responsible for oversight of business development and marketing initiatives, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities to assist clients interested in either renovation or new construction. Kyle covers Harper’s entire geographic footprint and leverages Harper’s resources strategically to support clients through the construction process.

Peyton Howell
Director of Industrial Markets
As Industrial Market Director for Harper, Peyton brings over 26 years of comprehensive experience in the construction industry. Utilizing his experience from project management, preconstruction and business development, Peyton represents Harper to identify, develop and maintain lasting business relationships for our Industrial Team. Priority is placed on earning client trust and ensuring that Harper clients obtain a rewarding construction experience.

Daniel Ellison
General Superintendent
Daniel joined Harper in 1991 and has over 27 years of experience in the construction industry. As General Superintendent for Harper, Daniel is responsible for the overall coordination and allocation of company resources including supervision of manpower and equipment. He also provides scheduling methodology and consultation with superintendents.

Mike Odom
General Superintendent, Environmental Systems Division
Mike brings over 20 years of construction experience, specializing in water and wastewater treatment facilities. Mike’s passion for his work and extensive knowledge of infrastructure is evident on each project he oversees. As General Superintendent for our Environmental Systems Division (ESD), Mike provides overall operations support for the Project Management team, including constructability guidance and schedule reviews for each individual team. Mike personally touches every ESD project, and takes pride in safely delivering quality results on-time and within budget.

Hootie Solesbee
Vice President of Preconstruction Services
Hootie is the Vice President of Preconstruction Services and brings more than 15 years of experience as a construction professional. His career began at Harper after graduating from Clemson University in 2006 with a BS in Construction Science. From Assistant Project Manager to Spartanburg Office Director to now Vice President and Shareholder, Hootie is invested in Harper. He has extensive experience in the healthcare, sports, commercial, and education market sectors, and is actively involved in the community, serving on multiple non-profit boards. Hootie looks to carry on the legacy of his grandfather who built his career and reputation in Spartanburg with the JM Solesbee Construction firm, founded in 1936.

Kate Dotten-Holder
Project Manager and Charlotte Office Director
Kate brings ten years of water and wastewater construction experience to her role as Project Manager and Charlotte Office Director. Kate has spent her career in the Carolinas building relationships with local subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and design teams. She enjoys engaging in each project's unique challenges with creativity and collaboration. As the Charlotte Office Director, Kate approaches her role with an enthusiasm for teamwork and a dedication to understanding clients' needs in order to exceed expectations.

Tim Lewis
Senior Project Manager and Asheville Office Director
With over ten years of commercial experience as a construction professional, Timothy is an integral member of Harper's team. He is a Pennsylvania State University graduate and has experience in the healthcare, institutional, commercial, and historic construction sectors. He serves as the Director of the Asheville Office and Senior Project Manager. Through Timothy's research and development of building technologies, Harper continues to be the technologically advanced leader in their markets. Timothy uses his building and technology experience to streamline construction schedules and pre-plan work to build higher quality projects. Timothy oversees Harper's Asheville community involvement initiatives and keeps track of community activities and donated funds.
