To enhance efficiency, sustainability, and reliability, Summerville Commissioners of Public Works (SCPW) built a Biosolids Solar Dryer—one of only three in the Southeast. Partnering with Harper and KCI Technologies, SCPW upgraded its wastewater treatment plant with revitalized digesters, additional belt presses, and a state-of-the-art solar dryer. These innovations modernize biosolids management, cut landfill costs, and better serve the community, all achieved through advanced construction and early coordination.
